Global Experience – Ecuador 2023
CTL is launching a training program for any employees (full or part-time) interested in organizing and facilitating global experiences with students! In October 2022, a small group of Mohawk College staff will begin a training program for organizing and facilitating global experiences with students and will have the opportunity to travel to Ecuador during Winter Break 2023 for the experience of a lifetime!

Global Learning Opportunities (GLO) Grant Re-Launch
Full-time faculty and staff are invited to submit an application for funding to take students abroad in winter 2023. The program will fund up to 2 employees and up to 20 students (depending on location, budget, etc.) to travel during winter break week 2023 for an intercultural learning opportunity.

Virtual GLO/COIL
New this year is Virtual GLO – also called COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) program. We invite proposals for projects that embed a global learning opportunity into a course by partnering with an institution abroad and offering virtual experiential learning for students.

Internationalization Projects
A strategic priority of the College is to build our Internationalization capacity through projects that enhance intercultural understanding, embed global learning outcomes and support the development of welcoming and inclusive culturally diverse learning environments.
Full-time faculty are welcome to submit a project proposal for an Internationalization project during the winter 2023 semester and if selected, will be provided with a 4.5-hour release to work on the project during the winter 2023 semester. Examples include: embedding global learning outcomes; developing an international student orientation; creating an international guest speaker series; working with an international partner to create course materials, etc., etc.
