IIoT Research Chair & Gap Wireless to host 5G technology workshop

“Heading Towards The 5G ERA” will be held on August 5.

Mohawk College, in partnership with Gap Wireless, is hosting an online workshop to help organizations understand how 5G technology is being deployed and tested in industry, including exploring the advantages of 5G Networks for the modern Smart City.

Mohawk College professor Dr. Esteve Hassan, who is Canada’s Industrial Research Chair for IIoT Applications, will be co-hosting the session as well as presenting on the 5G applied research projects happening at Mohawk’s Sensor Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) Lab.

The workshop will also include sessions led by Bram Mahraj of Hamilton’s Centre for Integrated Transportation and Mobility at the Innovation Factory, Paul Goostrey of ON-CITE Solutions Ltd. and Peter Schweiger of Keysight Technologies.
