July 12 - 13: Fennell & Stoney Creek Campus Maintenance Shutdown
Facilities/Buildings at Mohawk College Fennell and Stoney Creek Campuses will be closed from Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10 pm to Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 7:00 pm due to a planned power outage. The Aviation Campus will be closed as normally scheduled on weekends.
All IT systems will be unavailable from Friday, July 11, 2025 at 8:00 pm to Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 11:00 pm including VPN access with the exception of MyMohawk, Mohawkcollege.ca, MyCanvas, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 cloud applications.
We request that staff save any files located on the network drive to their local drive that you will need to access during this timeframe.
During this time, only essential contractors and employees related to this work will be permitted on Fennell Campus.
If you work on campus regularly, please complete the following to prepare for the shutdown:
- Ensure all open electronic documents are saved
- Power off your computer, monitor(s) and printer (if you have one).
- Turn off all lights, including task lights such as lamps and desk lighting. If you are the last person to leave your office area, turn off the overhead lights.
- If you have a small fridge, remove the contents, turn off the refrigerator and unplug it, leaving the door open.
- If you have a fan/and or heater, please turn it off.
- Switch off power bars, where possible.
