PearlMApril features Pearl Mendonca, Manager, Career and Student Success Advising at Mohawk. She is a higher education professional with over 15 years of experience within Student Affairs & Services.

“I work with two fantastic teams ---Student and Graduate Employment, and Student Success Advising; and amazing colleagues. I really enjoy learning, especially in relation to leadership and team development – there is always room to grow. I’m passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and look forward to continuing to advance these initiatives on campus. As a yoga teacher and Reiki Master teacher, I also enjoy holistic health and well-being practices to help find some calm and grounding in my week.” ~ Pearl

Pearl enjoyed this 40-minute LinkedIn Learning course, as it covered a lot of ground in a short period of time. It’s great for leaders who are looking for some quick tips and reminders, when it comes to developing a growth mindset. Pearl appreciates its focus on thoughtful communication, coaching with compassion, and creating a culture of trust. It provides a great foundation for leading successful and thriving teams. Pearl sees herself coming back to this content again and again!
