Leaders Spotlight on Learning

This new playlist provides an opportunity for leaders within Mohawk College to showcase a specific training course from the over 11,000+ courses on Working at Mohawk featuring LinkedIn Learning, Cornerstone Content Anytime, and other providers of asynchronous learning. All courses are under 1 hour in length and focus on ‘hot topics’. There are many curated playlists already available on Working at Mohawk and you can even make your own!

Krista Welsh, Director Partnerships and Service Integration, leads meetings and delivers presentations as part of her normal day-to-day. She understands that as we continue to work in hybrid models, connecting with our teams and colleagues virtually, remains a part of our everyday work.

“This session shared concepts regarding energy that I have not thought about, in relation to meetings and presentations. I enjoyed the way Cassandra spoke about creating an Energetic Agenda – how important it is to check-in on how we are feeling before our meeting, and how we want our team or attendees to feel after the meeting.

I am in virtual meetings almost all day every day. This session provided great ideas on how to be your authentic self in meetings, the importance of removing distractions, and ways to manage the fatigue that comes with virtual meetings. Since connecting virtually is very different than delivering in-person meetings or presentations, it also gave tips to increase engagement in a virtual setting. I highly recommend this for those who have been leading virtual meetings and delivering virtual presentations for years, and for those  new to this way of communication.” ~ Krista
