When is a PDF not a PDF? When it’s created by printing to PDF. Printing to PDF creates an image of the document and this image is not accessible. If you need to convert a Word document to PDF, select File > Save As then change the file type to PDF. If the document is being posted to a Mohawk College webpage, it must be accessible. To ensure accessibility, submit a Welcome request for Accessibility and we’ll review the document (and remediate it if needed). Be sure to include the original Word document as well.
