MINDSHIFT Entrepreneurial Conference was a virtual success

More than 300 attendees participated in MINDSHIFT, Mohawk College’s Annual Entrepreneurship Conference, organized by the Centre for Entrepreneurship, from March 21-23.

mindshiftThis year’s pre-recorded content focused on getting started and the entrepreneurial mindset.

Stephen Aikman, CEO of All Natural Advice Organic Skin Care and Mohawk Alumni was the keynote speaker, chatting alongside Associate Dean, Business and Entrepreneurship, Ryan Anderson. The conference featured a panel discussion with three impressive entrepreneurs: Jennifer Beale,  Chantal Carter and Natasha Clarkson.

Another highlight of the conference was SURGE’s 8th annual pitch competition, showcasing two pitch finalists, judged by Tammy Hwang, from the City of Hamilton, and Max Francis, owner of True Hamiltonian.

Three workshops engaged students on topics like funding your business, opening a Canadian business as an international student, and developing your entrepreneurial mindset.
