“[Mitchell] Pawlik went to Mohawk College for a two-year diploma in Building Renovations, living with his mother, Tracey Richardson, in Dundas during the program. After his first year, he was able to get work as a labourer doing tasks such as drywalling, framing and installing cabinetry. He did a second year of the same general contracting and was working part-time at Carlisle Arena at the same time.”
