Mohawk Alumni partnership with Mission35 Mortgages
Mohawk Alumni of Distinction and Founder of Mission35 Mortgages, Brian Hogben, is giving new meaning to the practice of giving back. Through a new partnership with Mohawk Alumni, Brian has built an exclusive program in mortgage services for Mohawk Alumni and their family and friends.
It’s the first program of its kind in an Ontario College.
For alumni buying their first home, refinancing or investing it mean great rates on a mortgage solution tailor made for you, rewards when you refer a friend or family member, exclusive education programs that will help you build wealth, and for Brian’s fellow Alumni of Distinction, $1,000 cash back at their mortgage closing.
Since every employee at Mohawk College has alumni colleagues and there are more than 950 alumni employees, this is a win-win-win-win for everyone involved. A win for alumni who are looking for a mortgage, and friends of alumni who can get in on a great deal. A win for Mohawk College and the Mohawk College Foundation: Advancement + Alumni Engagement since Mission35 is contributing $250 for each funded mortgage to support student and alumni programs, and a win for Brian and his team as they aspire to do the best job possible at all times and be a leader in mortgages worldwide.
We can support Mission35 Mortgages with that mission and help ourselves realize our own dreams by participating in this program.
Brian has been giving back to Mohawk College since he earned his Business Administration diploma in 2001. He’s a favourite guest speaker at student events, has sponsored financial literacy programs for students, supports an annual Mission35 Mortgages Bursary Award and has made contributions to the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Athletics. He has sponsored co-op students and hired Mohawk grads.
“Partnering with Mohawk Alumni in a business venture to support my fellow alumni and provide long term financial support for alumni programs was a logically next step in my relationship with Mohawk College. Mohawk prepared me to succeed in my career and my life. It introduced me to friends, colleagues and business associates who will be there for me throughout my lifetime as I will for them. It is personally rewarding for me to help other alumni on their journeys to success. This is a way for my team and I to help Mohawk alumni achieve their dreams of homeownership and wealth and we are proud to do it, so let’s get started,” said Brian.
As an alumnus, President Paul Armstrong, knows that the benefits of alumni membership results in saving, discounts and perks. He knows the value and strength of the alumni network and its ability to bring alumni together to have a positive impact on students, the college, the community and the economy. “This new partnership with Mission35 Mortgages is a gamechanger. I’m very grateful to Brian and his team for their thoughtful approach to best serve the mortgage needs of Mohawk Alumni and to engage them in building a strong program that rewards alumni and gives back to Mohawk College at the same time.”
