Mohawk College Faculty Member Recognized with McMaster Alumni Award
Congratulations to Mohawk College faculty member, Carla LaBella on being awarded the McMaster Alumni Association’s 2026 Impact Award (Hamilton) at the Association’s annual awards event on June 4, 2026.
Carla was one of 16 McMaster University graduates and current students recognized for their contributions to global and local communities through research, leadership, innovation, impact and service.
The Impact Awards recognize alumni who have made a positive difference in their communities.
"I didn’t start doing this work, here at Mohawk and in the community, with the intention of ever receiving a recognition like this. It was truly a wonderful evening, and a lovely recognition of the work I do alongside many hard-working and passionate colleagues and community members. I met an incredible group of alumni, and I am inspired to continue serving the Hamilton community."
