Real-Time Transit Screens Enhance Sustainable Travel at Fennell Campus
Mohawk College has introduced new HSR Real Time Transit screens at five key locations across Fennell Campus, thanks to the leadership of IT and the AV team. With updated hardware and software, these screens provide live bus arrival information, making it easier for students and employees to plan their commutes.
The screens are located inside at:
- East Exit (by C114 / C116)
- McIntyre Theatre Exit / C-Wing Lobby
- Hallway by F114 – Student Life / Social Inc.
- C-wing Café Staircase
- J-wing – Transit Terminal Exit
This initiative supports our climate goals by encouraging low-carbon travel and shows how departments across the college can lead on sustainability through practical, visible action. Sustainability was also a factor in selecting the technology for this initiative. The team chose energy-efficient media players and displays with long product lifecycles and lower environmental impact, aligning procurement decisions with Mohawk’s climate goals.
