Scrubbing in to Support PSW Students

In honour of National PSW Day, this month
Mohawk College is Scrubbing in to support PSW students.
How important are PSWs?
Tiffany Iles, PSW Coordinator believes “Personal Support Workers are not only the eyes and ears of health care but they become family members for their clients. Without PSWs some patients would lose a real-life connection and multiple aspects of support for activities of daily living.”
PSW students are passionate learners “They, want to make changes in health care and are excited to learn. As an educator, it’s rewarding to see when they can apply everything they have learned. Watching students become strong PSWs makes me so proud and happy for our future healthcare system.”
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to outfit every new
PSW student with their first uniform.
