United Way Award for Mohawk College

Recognition for Mohawk College’s giving efforts.
Mohawk College received the Joint Union Management Award at the United Way Hamilton Halton Evening of Celebration. The award recognizes United Way initiatives and fundraising activities that are endorsed by both Union and Non-Unionized employees.
The Joint Union Management Award, is recognized by the United Way as an organization that truly values its partnership with all sectors in the community, including the Labour Community. A partner that helps work towards achieving common goals to support individuals that live and work in Halton & Hamilton and to raise awareness and funds for local neighbourhoods.
The United Way has been a longstanding community partner and provides members of the Mohawk College Community the opportunity to give back directly to the local community. Mohawk College supports United Way through various internal events like payroll deductions, a wine elimination, and United Way signature events like Sleepless in the City and Walk this Way.
Ryan Anderson, Co-Chair of Mohawk College’s United Way Committee is “excited for what is to come. Lightened restrictions mean that we get to execute on ideas we couldn’t do before like a dodge-ball tournament, collaboration with McMaster University and the City of Hamilton, as well as community partners like True Hamiltonian and the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Mohawk College’s United Way Committee is an opportunity to work with like-minded people with a focus on having fun while raising money to help our community.
