Virtual Tour image capture on campus this summer
The Marketing team has recently onboarded a new provider for the College's digital virtual campus tours called MeTour. We are excited to offer this enhancement to the Mohawk College community and believe this tool will support the college in the following ways:
- Provide an interactive, immersive 360 experience (think Google Street View) of the College's four campuses for incoming and current students, staff and community that can be viewed from a phone, tablet or computer.
- Allow the College to digitally showcase classrooms and labs, common spaces and campus features for prospective students who are choosing a college.
- Act as a secondary wayfinding tool for prospective and current students, employees and community when accessing the campus.
As we wrap up our planning and walkthroughs of our four campuses with MeTour this week, work will commence the week of July 28 and run through the summer and into early fall. Photography schedules will be determined around class schedules and scheduled facility projects.
What will be involved:
- Me Tour will be taking 360 photographs of student-facing areas such as campus hallways, common spaces and classrooms / labs.
- You may see MeTour performing this work on campus during the day, evenings and weekends.
- Please note: While MeTour will be conscious of not capturing individuals, any individuals who are potentially captured in the photography will be blurred-out and not identifiable.
How you can help:
- While the goal is to capture an accurate representation of our spaces (they don't need to be perfect), if there are spaces that require some clean-up or tidying, it would be appreciated if that could be addressed.
