Women in Construction Week 2026
Women in Construction Week (March 1 - 7) celebrates the contributions of women in the industry—championing the legacy, amplifying the present, and building the future of women in construction.
Aaliyah Young-Lalumiere and Ava Sunderland, Construction Engineering Technician - Building Renovation students at Mohawk College, are recipients of the Schulich Builders Scholarship.
While in high school, both women attended Mohawk College’s Jill of All Trades, where they were inspired by other women working in the trades. In a full-circle moment, Ava and Aaliyah emceed the 2026 Jill of All Trades event in February.
