Leaders Spotlight on Learning

This playlist provides an opportunity for leaders within Mohawk College to showcase a specific training course from the over 11,000+ courses on Working at Mohawk featuring LinkedIn Learning, Cornerstone Content Anytime, and other providers of asynchronous learning. All courses are under 1 hour in length and focus on ‘hot topics’. There are many curated playlists already available on Working at Mohawk and you can even make your own!

Jessica Lapcevich, Manager, Risk, Legal and Governance Services, believes that a leader’s ability to lead a successful and high-functioning team is underpinned by credibility. Credibility extends far beyond reputation, honesty and trustworthiness, but, includes team advocacy and development, forward thinking vision, and increased engagement.

“There’s been a significant shift in workplace dynamics. No department or person operates in a silo and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects first rests on your ability as a leader to establish the confidence of those around you to be able to deliver results. As a current manager of processes as opposed to people, this training has provided a foundational and transformational understanding of what actions I can take now to develop my personal credibility and extend that to leadership capabilities.” ~Jessica

Developing Credibility as a Leader, is a 34-minute online learning session that gives practical tips of building personal credibility, demonstrating credibility with your team and overcoming credibility problems. It focuses on why credibility matters and how it can transform you into a great leader.
