Mental Health in the Classroom - May 4

TSK-6738_MentalHealthinTheClassroomBanners_Event_780x430

On May 4, Mohawk College will welcome secondary school partners from nine school boards and many independent schools for a keynote speaker event, Mental Health in the Classroom:  Supporting transition to higher education.  Secondary school educators and mental health professionals will join us for two sessions at 9 am and 1  pm.  A third session with content directed at parents supporting secondary school students transitioning to post-secondary will take place at 6 pm (parent-focused content is unique to the 6 pm event).

Seats are available at all three sessions, for Mohawk College staff interested in learning about preparing secondary school learners for transition to post-secondary.  Join us as we welcome the secondary school community to hear Dr. B. Janet Hibbs and Dr. Anthony Rostain, authors of The Stressed Years of Their Lives, Helping Your Kid Survive and Thrive During Their College Years. The authors will share their extensive experience and personal insights into this unique time of transition.

Interested staff are asked to register at www.mohawkcollege.ca/postsecondarytransition
