Join us as we learn more about December 6 and the importance of the
National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

Filmmaker & Speaker, Attiya Khan, Co-Director of A Better Man, shares her experiences with domestic violence.

“A Better Man documents a personal experiment for me and my abusive ex-partner — a step towards understanding and accountability. By getting closer to the truth of what survivors experience, and of why men choose to use violence, we can help stop the abuse. I hope that sharing my personal search for justice and healing will contribute to the struggle to end domestic violence.” – Attiya Khan, Co-Director

December 6th - The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

This day is about honouring those who have experienced gender-based violence; it is also a time to take action. December 6 falls within the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and this year's campaign #OurActionsMatter calls on each of us to share the concrete actions we are taking in our own communities and in our own lives to question, call out, and speak up against acts of gender-based violence.
